I also adapted the story to a screenplay that I produced and directed, and it is currently in post-production. Clips are posted below. I will eventually post the finished film. I welcome feedback.

Current clips: It will probably be helpful to read the story first, as this is just the opening sequence. I am trying it in color and B&W (because of the period). FYI These clips are very rough.

This is my first attempt at a novel and full-length screenplay. The idea began as a screenplay, and while writing the treatment, I felt that I needed to get the complete story out first, and then condense it back to a screenplay. I am about eight chapters into the first draft.

the karaoke diaries*

"Before there was American Idol, there was karaoke."

This is my first documentary. I am an admitted fan of karaoke, both as an observer and participant. The wide range of people that enjoy karaoke has always fascinated me, so I decided to take my camera and investigate. The subject is the Jacksonville Beach, FL area, which at the time had karaoke somewhere within a 5 to 10 minute drive every night except Monday. The people captured at karaoke ranged from wealthy business owners and executives to blue collar shrimpers. This project is also currently being edited, and I will post clips for feedback
