Jack grew up in the Kansas City, MO area.  He was first exposed to theatre at the tender age of four, when he "stuck in his thumb and pulled out a plum" in his K-4 program.  He got a big laugh, and was hooked.  Jack participated in several summer theatre workshops throughout junior high and high school, as well as many community theatre productions.

In college, Jack did 11 shows in 8 semesters, played college football, and graduated with a B.S. in Theatre Education.  His final college production - the Agatha Christie play The Unexpected Guest - was also Jack's first triple hyphenate project - producer, director and actor.   This show was such a success that it was held over by popular demand.

After graduation, Jack moved to Jacksonville, Florida (for no particular reason), and began learning the business side of acting, mainly by trial and error.  After a few years of waiting tables, delivering pizzas, and substitute teaching (all while auditioning and acting all over the state), Jack took the plunge and quit all "real jobs" to pursue acting full-time.  It was a decision that worked for him, and he was quickly making a living doing what he loved.

It soon became clear that he could never achieve a much greater level of consistent success while in Florida, and he made plans to move to the Los Angeles area with his wife, Gloria, where they now reside.
